Over Many Waters - Game Demo

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL GAME DEMO / TEASER! 

As of February 2024, I have decided to take a break from developing Over Many Waters. In this Demo, you will experience a teaser of the potential full experience. If I gain enough traction and interest, I promise to revisit OMW. I was sailing strong, but after 3 on/off years of development and having learned a bunch of new tricks as a dev, I feel OMW may need to be fully refactored. That's a big undertaking. For now, I want to work on more smaller projects.

Summary

OMW is a world of Mesoamerican fantasy and lore, explored by the protagonist Leo, a lost-at-sea Spanish-Aztec explorer. Adventure the seas of Atlan, a series of islands and waterways under threat of curses too great to speak of here. Ok, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but perhaps it’s best if you hear about this from a direct source, the Storyteller. About

Over Many Waters is set in a Fantasy Aztec world in the 1500s

The main character Leo and his father sail to the new world for his first tour

The ship goes down and Leo is stranded

Leo has hope that he might find his long-lost Aztec mother

He will eventually be able to acquire a ship and sail to different islands

Gameplay

- Seafaring and exploration

- NPC friendships and rivalries

- Trading and selling items and

- Minigames such as raising a pet Axolotl

(Occasional human sacrifice included!)
